Gun mount changed to a more normal vertical position, power is more conveniently placed on board, camera is mounted on the tripod leg to decrease shaking. An Airsoft Glock was used for this version. no trigger servo yet. video.

4TH VERSION:

Integration into a portable case with AC and DC power source options. Weight is way too high at around 60-80lbs

5TH VERSION:

Laptop is moved all the way forward, right support arm was found to be unnecessary and removed, 2:1 servo gear reduction improved response time and torque & a Ion paintball gun replaces the Airsoft pistol. watch the video.

I'm exited about this one. it originally was supposed to be made by a machine shop (represented by the grey image on the left) but that turned out to be way too expensive so I built it by hand again. unfortunately, it took 3 days to build.

these are the improvements:

• easily and quickly mount any gun with a pistol grip. (it mounts very tight and secure.)
• 90 degree FOV (old one had 70)
• IR Illumination for sight in total darkness (old version had none)
• beefed up rectangular steel construction. (it's much stronger than it needs to be actually)
• more bearings used to further eliminate any play. (increases accuracy slightly)
• a mount for attaching the sentry to a wall or a tree. (not shown in the pics)
• also not shown is the on board computer that will replace the laptop. (don't have the money for that yet.)
